„So what’s the future?”

12 grudnia 2010

Ta-tam! Zabrzmiał ostatni akord FNM w LA i w Chile. Po wszystkim Billy podzielił się na Twiterze notką z nutką nadziei, a może jednak żalu: „So what’s the future? Is that it?” Obszerną relację  pióra niezastąpionej Kariny Halle można przeczytać jak zwykle w Consequence of Sound. Polecamy! Setlisty miażdzą i wywołują zazdrość, nieprawda?

  • Very good, visual review – if not a little biased ;)

    I like the zombie reference!

  • Great Review!!! I was at the first show on the 30th, not sure what was up with the crowd on that night, but i was loving it and trying to show it as best as I could.
Great photos and wish I could have stayed longer but I live in CA and have to work all the time, so it was time to hit the road right after the show….

  • You have given us such outstanding coverage of this reuniting. I’m thankful I was able to see 3 of the shows earlier this year but somehow the fact that they are gone for good leaves me saddened. You really should win some kind of award for the coverage plus the interviews. You’ve had quite the dream fans year with this band and anyone who missed a show but read your reviews or interviews has to be kicking themselves. Patton is a truly unappreciated talent and all we can do is hope for Mondo Cane at Coachella at this point. If that were happening I would hope you could share that scoop!

  • Glad you had a good time. And I agree epic is not strong enough. You need a word that can sum up bringing people from thousands of miles for an experience that will last a few hours and having them leave feeing it was worth it. I don’t know if they have a word for that.

  • I was there for the November 30th show from Vancouver as well, met a few others from Vancouver Island & Edmonton (tons of Canadians down for the show)… we all mingled around until about 3am at the back until we met all the guys in FNM except Patton (who we think snuck out while pretending to be a guy getting kicked out of the venue….not sure how no one picked up on it, anyways) – Karina, marry me?

    • He wasn’t pretending – we just walked out the back at around 330 or 4AM, there was no one around anymore! You shoulda waited longer! lol. Then I could, you know, get to know you first? :P

Awesome that so many Canucks were there. Awesome that so many people from all over were there!

      • We would’ve stayed around longer but everyone’s feet were completely frozen and jumping jacks were getting tiring. The stupid security did a great job convincing us that no one else was in there. They even closed the gate and turned some lights off, though that was around 2am, we held out for about another hour. But hearing that he came out after…. ugh x200000

        We are broken up, thanks

  • “THANK YOU FAITH NO MORE! For the albums & for the mini-US tour. I hope you guys truly know what it meant for all of us US fans!”

ditto on that! i kinda feel like my girlfriend broke up with me yesterday. just sorta a little bit empty. thank GOD for all of the live music recorded on this tour.

    • Yep, totally agree with you here. After writing about Finland being the “last” show, there is a repeat of the same feelings – I too feel like I’ve been dumped, again. That’s twice in the same year! I’m a sucker! There’s definitely more of a finality this time though and, I gotta say, it hurts. But I can’t complain… I never thought they’d reunite in the first place and we’re lucky to have seen them.

I just won’t be able to listen to Just Kiss and Say Goodbye anymore without tearing up :)

  • Anyone else think it’s funny that people get all bent about not being part of the “first” show and then it turns out the first show is kinda weak and the “last” show is all kinds of awesome.

SF and LA. Consequences will never be the same.

    Coincidence? I don’t think so…

  • Well written Karina. As a fan that watched both night from the railing, night 2 was intense and emotinal. I have been a fan for 18 years and did not want the night to end. I know some people aren’t huge fans of Pristina but its a personal fav and the perfect ending to me.
You captured the crowd and it was great seeing the guys still enjoying themselves on stage!
I know this article had to be hard to write since we are all sad music fans after the last U.S. show!

  • Ohhh, it’s over. What a year for us American fans. I am so fucking happy Karina, that you were there to sum up these final nights for those who couldn’t be there. I am so happy they even came here at all. I thought I would never get to see them & I did, 6 times in one year! :)

THANK YOU FAITH NO MORE! For the albums & for the mini-US tour. I hope you guys truly know what it meant for all of us US fans!

  • Lot of Nostalgia going on. I know how it feels, but better some FNM humor I’d say, ladies and gentlemen, Success N Life:

A teraz coś zupełnie z innej beczki – czyli ploteczki.
